Our Story
Originally founded by a group of New York teenagers working with NY school boards to improve Holocaust education, the Memory Tree Project aims to bridge the gap in educational policy across nine states that currently lack any legislation requiring Holocaust education. Our mission is simple: we believe that every student deserves a high-quality education about the Holocaust, and we are committed to ensuring that every state has the legislative support needed to provide it.
We have now expanded, with interns in California and Florida. As the only youth-led nonprofit fighting for Holocaust education in every state, together, we aim to bridge the legislation gap.
